Our story

Our story

The story of JEMILA Physiotherapy Centre is, above all, a story of passion, dedication, knowledge-sharing, and gratitude.

It all began with the advice and encouragement of my beloved maternal aunt, Jemila Sidahmed Taya, may Allah have mercy on her soul and grant her eternal peace.

During her lifetime, she encouraged me to pursue physiotherapy, a profession rooted in humanity, care, and supporting people throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Her words had a profound impact on me and helped shape my path, inspiring the vocation that would become such an important part of my life. It is largely thanks to her that I chose this profession and embarked on this journey.

The founder's journey

Jemila

Physiotherapist, founder of the centre

I graduated in 2013 from the School of Applied Paramedical Sciences in Rabat, Morocco. Throughout my professional journey, I have continued to expand my knowledge and skills through internships at the European Hospital of Marseille, as well as additional training in respiratory physiotherapy, the management of foot deformities in infants, and acupuncture.

I began my professional career at the National Centre for Orthopaedics and Functional Rehabilitation (CNORF), where I gained valuable hands-on experience working with patients and discovered the essential role of rehabilitation in restoring independence and improving quality of life.

Driven by the desire to put my skills at the service of patients and provide attentive, personalised, and compassionate care, I decided to take a new step in my professional journey by founding JEMILA Physiotherapy Centre in 2016.

The choice of this name holds deep personal significance. It is a tribute to my beloved aunt, whose encouragement and influence played an important role in shaping my professional path. Through this centre, I wanted to keep alive the values she passed on to me: dedication, kindness, perseverance, and genuine care for others.

Alongside my clinical practice, I also work as a lecturer at the National Higher School of Health Sciences (ENSSS), where I contribute to the education and training of future physiotherapists. I believe that sharing knowledge is another way to contribute to the development of physiotherapy and the continuous improvement of healthcare.

Today, JEMILA Physiotherapy Centre remains committed to supporting every patient, guided by a deeply held belief: behind every pain, every physical limitation, and every challenge, there is a person who deserves attentive listening, appropriate care, and respectful support throughout their rehabilitation journey.

JEMILA is much more than a physiotherapy centre. It is a family story, a calling brought to life, and a lasting tribute to the woman who encouraged me to follow this path.

Treat, Rehabilitate, Reintegration.
